I do a lot of online research about a whole variety of different topics. One of the most important things that I have discovered is that you can’t rely on your first Google search results to provide you with accurate information about any topic. You have to be willing to dig deeper than this if you really want to find things out.
For example, I was recently researching culinary schools because I wanted to know about the different types of programs that might be offered at different schools. A simple Google search turned up some pages that were pretty straightforward (such as the page for the Minneapolis Culinary Arts program). Although the information about these two different schools was a good starting point, it didn’t provide me the details that I really wanted to know about culinary schools. I wanted to know about what types of classes would be taken, what type of clothing I would have to wear and what I could expect from my life outside of school during the time that I was taking classes. To learn these things, I had to go beyond the Google search and to ask questions on forums and blogs about culinary school.
