Finding the Right Recruits

I was recently given a great promotion and am now the top recruiter for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the country. I have found the job to be very overwhelming at times but it has also been very rewarding.

One of the things that I wanted to do soon into my position was find more quality employees. I looked into several healthcare training programs in NJ to find potential employees for the company. We had several students from several different schools come and do some internship training at the company and it proved to be very successful.

I have had several compliments from the CEOs on the recruits that I have hired and I was congratulated on my innovative thinking in order to get these fresh minds into our company.

I know that I will face many challenges ahead and I look forward to them and at the chance I have to grow and learn in my position.

Culinary Schools Teach Students About Wine

There is a trend in education that I’ve noticed happening lately which I think I like. The trend is in the area of culinary arts education. It appears that schools who offer this kind of education are increasingly focused on teaching their students about the wines that will compliment the dishes that they are learning to make.

This tends to be truer in certain areas of the nation more so than others. For example, Western Culinary Institute has a lot of opportunities for its students to learn about wine. This is probably due to the fact that this school is located in Portland which is an up-and-coming wine region.

This seems to hint at the fact that schools of all kinds are broadening their scope a little bit to adapt to the real world. Chefs don’t actually need to know which wines go with which foods since there are sommeliers for that job but it’s good to stretch the boundaries of knowledge a little bit. What better place to do that than in school?

Financial Aid at Brown College

Like almost all colleges and universities these days, Brown College offers assistance in obtaining financial aid for your schooling expenses. College is expensive -- and becoming more so all the time -- and no one expects you to be able to pay for it without assistance. Financial aid offers a variety of financing options -- government grants, government student loans, and private student loans -- to help you achieve your dream of going to college.

Brown College has a special department to help you navigate the somewhat confusing areas of financial aid, plus a section of their website dedicated to helping you get started. For instance, their website walks you through the process of submitting a FAFSA application on the Web. FAFSA stands for “Free Application for Federal Student Aid.” This application has to be filled out in order to qualify for any government assistance, but the good news is that it can open all kinds of doors for you.

Many people fail to recognize the potential for financial assistance in getting their education, and therefore discount college as something they can’t afford. Nothing could be further from the truth!

Making My Decision: Missouri Medical Schools

I am really trying to decide on my future (which I take seriously of course) and I have narrowed my search down to the Missouri Medical Schools, but now what? There are several areas that I am considering and I’ve already decided that Missouri College is the place to go…but which degree is right for me?

One area that I am considering is medical assisting. (I may even consider dental assisting.) I am thinking about this for a number of reasons but mainly because these fields are hugely in demand, something I know will propel my future faster. On the other hand, I would really like to move into the administration element in the future, so a program like Healthcare Management Completion Programs may be a good option, too. Alternatively, I am thinking that maybe Medical Billing and Coding is best.

The good news is that this school is offering all of the programs that I am considering and I am excited about the opportunity I have to attend the school!
