Even though many people are eager to start their lives as adults in the working world after high school, I took the time to go to college. Truth be told, I really didn’t want to go, but after my parents begged me to I went. I thought that it was going to be another four years of boredom just like high school was for me.
But little did I know that I would make some of my lifelong friends there and have some of the best moments of my life. In that space between being a kid and having children, you often can find yourself, and that is exactly what college did for me.
In fact, I miss the days of studying until the wee hours of the morning, partying with friends, and eating box after box of macaroni and cheese. It was an amazing time, and though it was expensive, the experiences were well worth the investment.
Though those days are long gone now, I still feel nostalgic from time to time when I glance over at my college diploma frame hanging on the wall across from my desk – those good times seem like they were so long ago.
